Ard Boyz Bust

So, turns out that GW didn't see fit to place a Round 2 'Ard Boyz store anywhere in North or South Carolina. The closest store to us will be in Atlanta, 6 hours away.

Now, I don't know about you guys, but if Atlanta is the closest store for us, and I know that it's the closest store for anyone in Georgia, South Carolina, and probably northern Florida, how many people are going to have to go to that single store?

3 rounds. Battle points. A horde of people. Sounds like it's worth a 6 hour car trip to me. /facepalm.

Not a happy camper.

  1. ..and probably some of the Gulf States, parts of Tennessee...

On the plus side, the distance will probably make a number of others bow out, which will cut down the horde some. But probably not worth it, unless you had other reasons to go to Atlanta too.

Might be able to get a fairly cheap direct flight too, but that raises the whole army/airline issue, and if a bunch of you are going, driving is probably better.

  2. If Jacksonville FL gets the second round, I might attend (as I'm from there and can stay with family). Otherwise, no round 2 for me this year.

  3. Let us know if Hobbit decides to host a tourney instead on that day because I would much rather go there to play. :)

  4. Definitely. I'm pretty certain it will be the second Saturday of September (it's our long day each month), but I'll confirm this week. I do know it is 1850 pts.

Just read the locations for the semi finals. Definitely not attending.

  5. I saw the one for this area is in Quesnel BC, 400 miles from Vancouver!
